Mallika is passionate about social and economic justice and building community. She brings her dedication to equity work, storytelling, and leadership development to RISE as Executive Director. She is on the board of Pearls of Hope, MDMC, and is a founding board member at Amanah Rec.
Vice Chair
Br. Salat lives in Andover, MN with his family. He holds an MBA from Metropolitan State and Concordia University and has over 15 years of finance experience. He owns a Homecare and a Digital Marketing Company in Minneapolis. Guided by Islamic teachings, he is passionate about environmental stewardship and supports the Amanah Recreational Project to address climate change and enhance community well-being.
Treasurer
Dilek is a passionate community builder, educator, and advocate dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces where individuals feel accepted and empowered. Raised in a culture that prioritizes health and well-being, she is committed to educating others about the impact of chemicals and toxins in our food and environment. As a board member, she champions the importance of uplifting marginalized voices and fostering economic growth within the community. In real estate, Dilek goes beyong buying and selling homes, she helps families build generational wealth while ensuring a legacy of respect, appreciation, and shared prosperity.`
Director of Education
Br. Ibrahim has a BSc in Islamic Studies from Mishkah University Br. Ibrahim has a BSc in Islamic Studies from Mishkah University and Computer and Information Science from Mankato State University. With nearly 20 years in dawah and community service, he serves on the board of Building Blocks of Islam and teaches Islam 102 to new converts.

Hibaaq brings her expertise in branding, marketing, and community building to support Amanah Rec's mission. With over a decade of experience in strategic communication, social media marketing and storytelling, she specializes in creating impactful narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. Her passion for fostering inclusive spaces and empowering communities aligns with Amanah Rec's commitment to providing accessible and enriching recreational opportunities.
Found & CEO
Nasrieen wears many hats, but the most important is living in the moment in nature with her community. She is passionate about building wells, sponsoring orphans and promoting sustainable living that is anchored in Islamic values to the Ummah (Muslim Community). Nasrieen's passion is to encourage mindful consumption in a hyper-consumer society, through outdoor activities.
Program Coordinator
Idil is a long-time Minnesota resident, is deeply invested in her community and passionate about advocacy. As a devoted mother of three, including a neurodivergent child, her personal journey has shaped her dedication to creating inclusive and supportive environments for individuals with autism and their families. Balancing her advocacy with a love for the outdoors, Idil finds solace and rejuvenation in Minnesota's natural landscapes through hiking. She also enjoys sports and actively volunteers in community initiatives.
Volunteer Coordinator
Makiya is a California transplant that works professionally on the business team of a food lab. She spends her time serving the community not only through Amanah Rec but also as Ameerah of Al Maghrib MN. She has a passion for learning whether it's seeking Islamic knowledge, learning a new hobby or a new skill.
Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Amal enjoys being outdoors during the warmer weather, hiking, kayaking, running, and reading outside. Amal enjoys spending the outdoors with her son Salman.
