Description

Please make sure to arrive by 9:50, we will meet at the parking lot of the ranger station since we need to buy daily and/or yearly permits. Please dress lightly and in layers.

Some tips for a state park since they are usually more than 1.5 hours away:

1. Carpool with others
2. If carpooling, contribute for gas money
3. Buy yearly permits, they cost around $35 and daily ones are $7. We will do bi-monthly state parks so is cheaper to buy it yearly
4. Bring food, we are eating lunch there
5. Bring prayer mat, we will pray dhuhr there
6. Plan for someone to pick your kids from duksi since we are going to be there for around 7 hours
7. Bring games for the kids in the car so they don't get bored.

What to Bring:

Dress for the weather (always bring rain coat, gloves & warm jacket in fall, spring & winter)

• Hiking Boots/sneakers with good traction
• Sunscreen

• Hat/sunglasses
