Sukoon and Streams with Paddle Bridge - Adaptive Session

About this outing

Please make sure to arrive by 4:45pm, we will meet at the Paddle Bridge building. Please dress appropriately for kayaking and read the below information provided to us by Paddle Bridge. This is an one hour kayaking session from 6pm-7pm. Only tandem kayaks will be available. Every kid will need to be accompanied by an adult. This event is only for families with special needs. Asalamualykum neighbors! Allow us to introduce ourselves: Paddle Bridge was founded by a passionate group of river guides in 2018, and runs kayak tours on the Mississippi River for people of all ages and physical abilities. You don't have to know how to kayak before — our guides will provide all the equipment and teach you the skills you need to stay safe on the water. This activity is sponsored by our partners at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, who share our mission to make the river healthy and accessible for all! Visit their beautiful facility in Northeast Mpls to learn more. *Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign a waiver to participate. Children under 16 will generally paddle in the front of a double kayak with an adult family member. *We ask our guests to fill out two short feedback surveys in order to continue to offer programming for reduced rates. Here is the first one, to fill out before the event. We’ll send the other out at the end of the water day. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfDN6YiFKTGwHrgkX7RZ_n-aWmFUWcyxFgwuPskgeW23fItJg/viewform?usp=publish-editor&urp=gmail_link Other considerations for kayaking: ● Dress for water! Wear lightweight clothing you wouldn’t mind getting wet - have a dry layer in your car to change into afterwards, just in case. Do not wear your nicest shoes! ● Hats/head covering and sunglasses for the sun reflecting off the water ● Sunscreen/Water bottle - guides should have extra, but we encourage use of a reusable water bottle to lessen reliance on single-use plastics. ● We will have a dry bag for anything small that you don't want to get wet; we take pictures with a waterproof camera, so you don't have to risk yours!
